Spark of Genius FOI
Under the extension to the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, functions such as secure accommodation and education are covered by all aspects of FOISA legislation including publishing information. Individuals have a right to access all recorded information held by us. The Act aims to increase accountability, openness and transparency.
Guide to Information
We currently publish a significant amount of information (via our website etc.) regarding our services, as well as a Freedom of Information Publication Scheme, and therefore the information that you require may already be available. CHARGING SCHEDULE

There is no charge to view information on our website or at our premises.

We may charge for providing information to you e.g., photocopying and postage, but we will charge you no more than it actually costs us to do so. We will always tell you what the cost is before providing the information to you.

The first £100 cost is free. If the cost is between £100-600 then the requester may be required to pay a 10% charge. If the cost amounts to £600 or more, then the requester will be charged for the whole amount.

Our photocopying charge per sheet of paper is:

Standard A4 copies (Black and white) will be charged at £0.0045 per single sheet

Standard A4 copies (Colour) will be charged at £0.0475 per single sheet

Information provided on secure pen drives will be charged at £20.00 plus VAT (a higher charge may apply for larger pen drives)

We will recharge any postage costs at the rate we paid to send the information to you

When providing copies of pre-printed publications, we will charge no more than the cost per copy of the total print run

We do not pass on any other costs to you for our published information.
