Davidshill Farm
Davidshill Farm is home for 5 children and young people and a growing number of horses and ponies. It sits just outside Kilbirnie and Beith in the Ayrshire countryside and benefits from great views of the Ayrshire Valleys, with the River Garnock a short distance from the house.
Formerly a working farm Davidshill Farm provides a quiet, private environment for children and young people but has increasingly strong ties into the local community at different levels. Since taking possession of the site Spark of Genius has added additional facilities for the benefit of the children and young people including an equestrian arena, additional stabling for horses, and a poly tunnel where our children and young people grow vegetables for the kitchen.
In discussions with children and young people, a programme of internal works has been agreed to extend the kitchen area and change the configuration of downstairs bedrooms with the work scheduled to start in September, 2011. This will only add to the existing environment positively.
