 Residential Assistant Manager (EH16)

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Assistant Manager with a passion for making a difference to young people’s lives in our Residential House in Danderhall, Edinburgh. This role will work closely with the Residential Manager and Service Manager to ensure the effective and efficient running of the house and the staff team

The successful candidate should have significant residential care experience and have knowledge of policies and procedures surrounding residential child care as well as an understanding of child protection and development. The candidate should posses an SVQ 3 & HNC in Social Care (or equivalent), NVQ level 4 DipSW, CQSW, CSS Management qualification or be working towards this.

We are particularly seeking candidates who are available to cover nightshifts.

Salary Scale:

Scotland £17,500 -£22,500. (bank £7.63ph Plus £0.82ph holiday pay)
England £22,000 Day £23500 Night.

We are currently recruiting for a number of Residential Child Care Workers for our services which include the exciting opportunity of new houses.

Applicants should be committed individuals with the ability to provide an inclusive, inspiring, living environment for our young people. The position will involve working with small groups of young people aged 8-18, experiencing a variety of complex needs/parenting experiences. Candidates must have the experience or transferable skills for this role as well as an understanding of working with complex needs. Ideally candidates would have experience of Residential Care and/or Social Work although if you do not necessarily have the experience for the role, however, have the passion for working with our young people and feel you have transferable skills and qualities to do so, we would like to hear from you.

Relevant qualifications are not essential to start, however there is a requirement set by the SSSC to gain the relevant qualification/s within 3 years.
