Parent Support Advisor
King Edwin School, Stockton on Tees

King Edwin School are a rapidly developing school, looking to enhance the services of the school further by appointing a Parent Support Advisor. The Parent Support Advisor will form a crucial link between school and home, and will support the integration into the school of any new students. In addition, where parents appear to be in need of additional support, the Parent Support Advisor will provide an enhanced service, advising and supporting on aspects of parenting, on matters relating to wellbeing and safeguarding and supporting an effective response to areas of concern. The role will also lead the school response to Early Help for the families requiring this support.

In order to fulfil this exciting role, we are looking for an individual with a proven track record in delivering interventions, in advising and developing behaviour support plans, and in identifying solutions to behaviours and wellbeing challenges. You will be experienced in providing help and support to families and young people, and able to drive and promote excellence in communication between agencies, school and families. We anticipate the role will require around 2 days per week initially although can be flexible for the right candidate.
